My name is Yaroslava. My life was gray and meaningless, for the most part. At the age of 15, I first tried heroin and went to the court for the first time. For ten years, I lived in constant fear searching for drugs. Courts, theft… my parents were disappointed in me. God often tried to get my attention through different situations, but I did not want to listen to Him. At 24, I got married and gave birth to a daughter, my life haven't changed, though; if anything, it continued to deteriorate.

One day while at the drug clinic, I learned through a Teen Challenge worker of a rehabilitation center where I would be able to get free. It wasn’t long until I went there taking my daughter, Valeria, along. During the rehabilitation program, God had been touching my heart deeply, He healed the wounds of my past, restoring me as a person. I'd been learning to be a loving and caring mother for my daughter, all over again. In God, I became free from drugs and gained a true joy! Presently, I am a team member of Teen Challenge Kiev and help addicted people, this is my calling now! God blessed me with a wonderful husband who became a caring father for my daughter! Let my testimony be an encouragement to those who try to start a new life.

'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' (Jeremiah 33:3)
